Monstrous Repurposed Wood Sculptures

The Dead Wood Art Series Gives Furniture a Horrific New Look

The aptly titled 'Dead Wood' art series is the latest collection by Ontario-based studio The Gnarled Branch. The studio concept was derived when creator David Irvine claimed some discarded furniture and restored it into a work of art.

Likewise, the Dead Wood series is comprised of table legs that Irvine retrieved from repudiated furniture. The final product is an intricate, mixed media collection that features petrifying monster and skull faces.

The collection is disturbingly beautiful and highlights Irvine's extraordinary dedication, artistic talent and craftsmanship. The delightfully terrifying aesthetic of the Dead Wood series make it an excellent home decoration come October 31st. However, the series has more than just Halloween potential, for anyone who enjoys an ominous, supernatural vibe.
