David Blaine's 'Dive Of Death' Over Central Park

Illusionist David Blaine has started his latest "trick" which involves him hanging upside down, without a safety net, 50 feet above New York’’s Central Park. His aim is to do this for 60 hours.

It is very dangerous; naturally, hanging upside down increases blood pressure in the head which could lead to blindness as the biggest danger. There is also a risk of swelling, cramps in internal organs and clots in the veins of the eyes.

Previously he has held his breath for more than 17 minutes, spent 63 hours encased in a block of ice, and fasted for 44 days while suspended above the Thames.
