Andblack Design Studio Creates the Darwin Bucky Structure

Ahmedabad-based design firm Andblack Design Studio presents a new building dubbed the Darwin Bucky, which is inspired by the work of American architect Buckminster Fuller, hence the namesake. The Darwin Bucky is found in India and is meant to be used as an exhibition gallery, performance space, or even a town hall. It is able to host up to 100 people and the most defining feature is its assembly.

The structure can be assembled and dismantled within a few days and comes in a prefabricated kit. The studio explains that "[Darwin Bucky] "is a prefabricated parametric exoskeleton that challenges the intrinsic immobility of conventional architecture. It's a modular, lightweight standalone structure that is 'easy-to-plug-in' at any location with minimal site impact."
