The Dalian Shell Museum in Dalian, China, houses more than 5,000 different kinds of precious shells from all over the world. The building itself looks a lot like a futuristic shell, largely thanks to the overlapping metal roof.

The five floor, 18,000 sqm construct mixes the industrial and the organic in its design. The Dalian Shell Museum was designed by The Design Institute of Civil Engineering & Architecture of DUT.
