Customized Clouds

Artist Releases Thousands of Happy Faces (UPDATE)

Almost a year ago, Trend Hunter Ayman delivered the news that logos could be made into clouds. Now an artist named Stuart Semple is using the same technology to bring art to the skies over London. He said he had enough gloom and doom and wanted something positive floating in the sky. His desire is that the smiley face will make people smile as they go through their day.

Implications - The fluffy smiley face floats through the sky just like a balloon. Semple says that by creating his happy and floating smileys he hopes to "help people remember that the success of British cultural industries is relatively new." He believes that artists have a lot of power and one simple act may be able to "do something important."
