Artistic Cube Food

Lernert & Sander Created an Incredible Image for Dutch Newspaper De Volkskrant

The concept of cube food isn't new, but conceptual design studio Lernert & Sander has taken this idea to the next level. They cut 98 unprocessed foods into perfect 2.5 cm cubes. Arranging the cube food into an equally perfect grid, the resulting arrangement was captured for a special photography issue for Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant.

Closer shots of the cube food show to those who believe the work to be digitally fabricated that isn't the case at all. Full of different textures and even negative space, each cube food was carefully created by hand. They range from fish and meat to fruit and vegetables. 50 signed copies of the stunning poster are currently available.
