Laura Adel Johnson Brightens the Multimedia Art Scene With Tear Lights

Why draw with pen when you can draw with lights? Perth artist, Laura Adel Johnson, illuminates her portraits with lights! Her work is currently showing at the Chalk Horse Gallery in Sydney, Australia and this multimedia artist is getting rave reviews.

"I'm interested in incorporating everyday, common-place objects into my art works," Johnson said. "I like to use unconventional materials to make drawings that describe or comment on the current social/political environment."

I find it interesting that much of her work features people weeping and the medium of light seems to add so much to the emotion of her pieces. Have a look for yourself above.
