This season brings yet another 80s-inspired fashion phenomenon to the fashion forefront: cross-body bags. Spotted on the catwalks of Phillip Lim, Mulberry and Isabel Marant (to name a few), and on celebs from Taylor Momsen to Kate Bosworth and even Brad Pitt, postman-style bags were slung casually across torsos almost as an afterthought--albeit a very chic, stylish and functional afterthought.
Even if we can’t appreciate the comeback of acid-washed jeans or leg warmers, at least we can be happy that the 80s did give us this super-useful accessory.
