Reenact the Bin Laden Raid With the Counter Strike Abbottabad Map

If you want proof of how fast the Internet moves, look no further than the Counter Strike Abbottabad map. A Counter Strike level designer known only as "Fletch" created this map, based upon Osama Bin Laden's Pakistan compound/fortress of evil.

While the map is not an exact replica of the Abbottabad compound, it isn't too far off. Counter Strike is a shooting game known for its player-created maps that often rival those designed by the developers. In case you are wondering the map is available for download now and is currently only supporting death matches. Don't fear though as Fletch has suggested the possibility of opening up the map to hostage and bomb games.

This certainly isn't the first time the Internet has pounced on a major news story before its a week old, but normally people capitalize on breaking news stories by creating t-shirts or websites. I wouldn't be surprised to see video game developers release new map packs in the future based around current and on-going conflicts.
