A 48 year-old Korean woman has rendered herself grotesquely unrecognizable after her cosmetic surgery obsession led her to inject cooking oil into her own face.
Hang Mioku went under the knife for her first plastic surgery procedure when she was 28 years old. Her obsession escalated from that point on.
Mioku underwent so many operations that her face became enlarged and disfigured.
Eventually surgeons suspected that she was suffering from psychological disorder and refused to carry out any more procedures on her. However, she eventually found a doctor who agreed to give her silicone injections, and gave her the necessary medical supplies so that she could self-inject.
It was when her supply of silicone ran out that Mioku began injecting cooking oil into her face.
