The challenge centers on expanded cork, a material produced from compressed cork granules without synthetic binders. Organizers state that submissions may include furniture, lighting, home accessories, and architectural objects developed through Vizcom’s rendering and concept generation tools. Entrants must provide visualization files, technical details, and fabrication considerations alongside their proposals.
Vizcom and CorkWay opened submissions on May 22, with entries accepted through September 30, 2026. Finalists will receive mentorship and prototype development support before production selection and exhibition planning for Milan Design Week.
