8BitDo has already received recognition for its wireless controllers that vaguely resemble classic gamepads, but the peripheral-focused gaming company has recently released a collection of DIY controller mod-kits that let users convert any classic game controller into a wireless setup. These controller mod-kits essentially add Bluetooth wireless capability to the original NES, SNES, Super Famicom and Mega Drive controllers without the need of a soldering iron or toolbox.
Each of the controller mod-kits cost $20 and enables support for any console that supports Bluetooth. This includes the Nintendo Switch, Macs, Windows PCs and Raspberry Pi-based projects. The kits come fully stocked with all the necessary equipment to make this upgrade, and even includes a lithium-ion battery.
