Smart Diabetes Management Apps

The CONTOUR DIABETES App Uses Algorithms for Personalized Feedback

The CONTOUR DIABETES app was first launched in 2016 and it has now been updated to connect to the CONTOUR NEXT ONE meter and provide a new feature called My Patterns. With this new in-app feature, users are able to have their blood glucose results intelligently analyzed by an algorithm and be supplied with personalized feedback.

As a self-management tool, the app helps those living with diabetes to recognize and implement positive lifestyle changes. For instance, the app may suggest that a high reading was due to one's food choices, activity levels, stress, illness or medication doses.

With the new My Patterns feature, users have the potential to track and improve their own personal patterns and progress over time. As it stands, the app can recognize 14 different patterns and use 11 different structured testing plans, with more set to be added in the future.
