Alarciaferrer Arquitectos' Design is Minimalist & Scenic

Local studio Alarciaferrer Arquitectos creates a minimalist concrete abode in a nature preserve in Argentina. Dubbed Casa MM, the structure's design is an attempt to fuse a voluminous man-made object with a vast vegetative landscape. Alarciaferrer Arquitectos primarily uses concrete for the construction of the building. On one hand, this adds a strong juxtaposition to the natural environment. On the other hand, the inherent minimalist qualities of the material allow for a point of balance.

The concrete abode is distributed onto two floors with a gently sloped roof that "reflects the rolling grassy landscape." Moreover, the layout of the structure is an accessible Z-shaped plan that adds a curious component to the house's distribution on the site.
