This Building Puts a Modern Spin on Traditional Korean Homes

Designed by Iroje KHM Architects, the Archi-fiore is a multi-purpose building that takes inspiration from a history of Korean curved architecture.

Located in the Cheoin district of Yongin, this concrete building's structure may seem at first glance to be rather unconventional, but was actually built to mimic the sloped roofs found on many Korean homes. The building was also envisioned as a sort of complement to the adjacent sports gym with its rounded roof that also follows a curved architectural theme.

Made up of six separate storys, the interior houses a cafe, restaurant, office workspaces and also a duplex apartment on the top two floors. The building is also complete with its own private patio and garden space featuring a small pond of water.
