Geeky Argument Settling Ads

Jay and Silent Bob Settle Comic Book Debates in This Injustice Ad

If there's anything that geeks love it's spirited comic book debates, and there are few geeks more enthused about comic book debates than Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes of Jay and Silent Bob fame.

This commercial for the upcoming 'Injustice: Gods Among Us' video game puts Smith and Mewes in a living room, arguing over whether Wonder Woman could really beat up Aquaman. Fortunately, the two pop in their copy of Injustice to settle the debate, which ends with Mewes exclaiming that Aquaman has "mad sharks." The commercial takes a humorous tone when it shows 1978 and 1984 versions of Smith and Mewes having the same arguments as they're having in the present day.

Considering that Injustice is a fighting game starring comic book characters, it only makes sense that the game's ad campaign would enlist two of the world's most famous comic book geeks to help promote it.
