Color-Changing Floor Tiles

Dutch Tile Manufacturer Mosa's 'μ' Tiles Interact With Space and Time

The Dutch tile manufacturer Mosa has created a dynamic new product -- color-changing floor tiles.

Named 'μ' (pronounced 'mu), these tiles reference an in-depth understanding of the color wheel to change color as the light changes. At different intensities of daylight, the tiles will appear to change their appearance. To achieve this effect, the tiles are made up of millions of vividly dyed ceramic and glass grains. When pieced together, the eye will pick up on different pigments depending on the surrounding light levels. The tiles can even change color depending on the different angles the light hits them at. The result is a dynamic tile that interacts with time and space. These color-changing floor tiles are available in white, grey, light grey and brown.
