Captured by Australian photographer Greg Briggs, the cleaners photo series was shot over six months in different museums, theaters and hotels all around the city.
Wanting to shed a light on the city’s least acknowledged laborers, the ‘Melbourne Cleaners’ series shows how these cleaners work either before or after our days. It also beautifully portrays how intimately close these people become to either the spaces or artifacts they have to keep shiny and clean—and how these shadowy figures somehow blend in with the fine art and exotic taxidermy.
