Claude Cowork is now available through the Claude for Chrome browser extension, bringing conversation history, connected tools and workspace continuity into Chrome's side panel. Chats created in the browser are automatically saved to a user's conversation history, allowing work to continue between the desktop app and the browser without restarting tasks. Existing skills and connected services are also available within the extension, extending supported workflows directly inside Chrome. Claude Code remains accessible through the extension for programming tasks alongside the broader browser experience.
The update is available immediately for Max and Team subscribers, while Pro subscribers will receive access in the coming weeks. Anthropic introduced Claude Cowork as a simplified workspace for everyday users and has since expanded it with smartphone controls. The Chrome extension, which became available to all Claude users in late 2025, also enables AI-assisted workflows across websites and browser-based tools that do not have dedicated integrations.
