Convertible Crate Lounges

City Leaks is an Urban Investigation in Inventive Dwelling

City Leaks consists of a collective of group and street artists located in Melbourne. The group is looking to create and find new and interesting ways for urban cities to have a mutual dwelling or lounge that people can use whenever they wish. Their objective was to invent a space that turns into a place where people meet and to create a play space for their younger target audience.

The lounge is made completely up of milk crates that were chosen because of their transformative quality. Anyone using the lounge area can move the crates around to create any form and shape they desire. The users of the lounge can rearrange their seats, build stairs, or do anything they wish. Via City Leaks Facebook page, the group claims that "There hasn't been a single day where we found them in the same place."
