Circular Park Benches

The 'Oui' Park Bench in Denmark Levitates Above the Ground

Denmark has introduced four circular park benches to build a greater sense of community. Two Paris-based designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec created the collection of four benches in a project they've titled 'Oui.' The benches are made from steel and rest on top of four thin legs to give the appearance that they're levitating above ground. The benches were designed in response to other urban landscape projects which explored how public seating can enliven a city's landscape.

Aiming to provoke a sense of curiosity and connectivity, the benches can be found wrapped around the lush trees the park has to offer, circling a fire pit or illuminated by the glow of an attached lamp. The circular park benches hope to reacquaint people with their surroundings, by providing an opportunity to gather together in nature.
