The Chromat Spring 2018 Ready-to-Wear collection that made its debut at New York Fashion Week is being celebrated as one of the most empowering shows of the season. While Chromat has always made a commitment to promoting inclusivity, its newest range of clothes was sent down the runway on an even more diverse set of women of various skin tones, body sizes and ages. Some of the models that strutted the runway included Leyna Bloom, the trans, Filipino-American model and Emme, the first plus-sized supermodel, who sported anti-chafing thigh bands with her cut-out swimsuit.
The collection of denim, corset tops and futuristic-looking eveningwear pieces crafted from golden space blankets was woven together with color-blocked 90s-inspired looks that offered an interpretation of what it looks like to be a modern goddess.
