Geodesic Gingerbread Domes

Daniel Goddemeyer's Christmas Gingerbread DIY Makes an Igloo

Constructing a Christmas gingerbread house can be a fun tradition and for those who are up to the challenge, NY-based designer Daniel Goddemeyer has created a tutorial for a geodesic gingerbread dome.

The gingerbread house is more modern than the average four-walled house and perhaps a little more ambitious to construct. Instead of piping the four walls and roof with icing, this geodesic gingerbread home needs it between every triangular cookie.

When the dome is complete and hopefully in no peril of falling apart, it can be dusted with icing sugar to give it the snowy look of an igloo. This is definitely not your average gingerbread house, but it could be a fun activity to try this Christmas.
