A group of five students at Georgia Tech recently received the ‘Inventure Prize,’ a $10,000 award for their mind blowing invention. The ‘Chlorocyte Bioreactor’ utilizes algae to eliminate carbon dioxide emissions, a very timely accomplishment.
We would be hard-pressed to find any other invention that has the potential to reduce our carbon footprint. Christopher Klaus, one of three judges in the competition, said "It’s a potential game changer for the planet."
Runners up from the competition include ‘DialPrice’ which allows a shopper to compare prices via cell phone, and the ‘Heat n’ Go,' a container that heats food by chemical reaction.
One of the Georgia Tech Inventure prize winners said, "We want to build a world where energy and the environment go hand in hand."
