Back-to-School Charity Pop-Ups

A Charity in Detroit Sought to Give Kids Back-to-School Clothes

A charity pop-up in Detroit, Michigan, focused on the needs of young children as they head back to school in the fall.

The pop-up was located at Munger Elementary school in Detroit's West Side, and approximately five hundred children were selected to attend. The pop-up featured a range of necessary school items for children from low-income families. Those visiting were able to pick pants, shirts, and a winter coat. They also took home backpacks that were full of the various school supplies they would need to get the school year started.

The event was sponsored by the National Council of Jewish Women and over 200 volunteers pitched in to help out at the charity pop-up.
