Volkswagen Released a Clip of Its Mobile Charging Robot in Action

Volkswagen released a 45-second clip showing off its mobile charging robot for EVs, however the company did not indicate when the robot may be available to the public for purchase.

Volkswagen’s mobile charging robot is able to work autonomously and begins the charging process through an app or by communicating with the EV. The mobile charging bot can also leave its battery trailer at the vehicle being charged so it can attend to other vehicles that may need to be charged. The robot also has lights that turn on as it picks up the battery trailer.

Volkswagen did not indicate when its mobile charging robot would be released, but the company is launching a charging station that is scheduled to be available in early 2021.
