These Motion-Influenced Fashion Garments Change Appearance with Movement

Design Academy Eindhoven graduate Anouk van de Sande created a collection of fashion garments that change appearance when they are in motion. Each piece of the collection was layered atop another piece. The designer then used dots or lines to create alternating patterns as the garment wearer moved.

The unique use of of layers and lines plays a trick on the viewer. While the motion-influenced fashion garments are simple, they project complex structure and change appearance with each movement made by the wearer.

The designer used playful colors such as bright blue, yellow and orange in some pieces, while others were strictly black, white and translucent. This collection of fashions titled 'Print in Motion' includes only five items that can mixed and matched to create various outfit choices. The line includes shirts, pants, catsuits, one dress and a long coat.
