Marc Thorpe Design dubs the cedar cabin ‘The Edifice’ and it seems that the architects were inspired by the writings of Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau. As a result, the building is "stripped back to the bare essentials," allowing itself to be engulfed by the natural surroundings.
