Rent-to-Own Housing Projects

Cass Community Social Services Has Completed Six Tiny Homes

Cass Community Social Services recently previewed its new housing development project in Detroit, which seeks to empower low-income people and lift them out of poverty.

The housing development will feature 25 tiny homes which range from 250-400 square feet and are erected on their own foundation. As of now, there are six completed homes in the community, and Cass Community Social Services held a fundraiser in which visitors could tour them. The development will follow a rent-to-own model, and the rent is set at a relatively affordable $1 per square foot. The tiny homes were designed to fit one or two people, as they don't have bedrooms.

This unique housing development works to empower people in low-income professions and fuel their independence.
