Mersura Furnishes the Casa Vasto in El Poblenou

Local design studio Mesura designs a new home for living and working dubbed the Casa Vasto located in El Poblenou. It was commissioned by a gallery owner and the aim was to create a living area that is also simultaneously an exhibition space. The apartment's base is what used to be a factory and breaks into two spaces -- the public living area and the kitchen area that also works as a place to host exhibitions. The private bedroom and bathroom are then closed off solely for the owner.

Mesura explains, "The project's interior design is reinterpreted as a constellation of unique objects detached from the apartment's limits. These elements contrast with the white-washed walls and light-wood furnishings to emerge as accents of colour and form, weaving a cohesive and contemporary identity throughout the project, drawing focus to the pieces and artwork."
