This Canadian Home Masterfully Overcomes Design Challenges

The Coleraine Residence is a Canadian home in Montreal designed by Naturehumaine as part of a real estate development project. For the designers, one of the biggest challenges was meeting the neighborhood requirements for two-row houses while still exposing the house to plenty of natural light. In order to seamlessly fit in with its surroundings, the house was constructed with a brick base on the lower level, mixed with steel volumes to bring modernity to the sleepy street.

On the inside, double-height rooms take advantage of the tall shape of the house. One of the highlights that breaks up the crisp white interior paint job is a wooden staircase with a dynamic and urban railing.
