Facebook's #BuyBlack Friday Initiative Returns this Season

Facebook announced the return of its #BuyBlack Friday initiative to support Black-owned brands during the holiday season. The social media platform understands that the holiday season is crucial to small businesses and wants to encourage shoppers to purchase from Black-owned companies throughout Black Friday sales.

The initiative begins on November 5th, 2021. Every subsequent Friday will feature Live Shopping segments from Black-owned businesses. Some featured companies include Sahwanda's Hot Pepper Sauce, House of Takura, and Obia Naturals, and more. In addition, the segments include special guests and surprise appearances from influential figures.

Facebook users can visit the Facebook Shop tab for weekly updates. The #BuyBlack Friday weekly updates are also available on the Instagram Shop tab starting November 1st, 2021.
