Budweiser Brazil introduced Facebook integrated Buddy Cups that make it easier to make friends at parties. The cups enable people to add each other on Facebook by clinking the cups together.
They have a microchip that is embedded in the bottom of the glass. Before heading into the bar, each person scans the barcode with their smartphone to connect their Facebook on there.
Once the party starts, they meet people and click cups with people they wish to reconnect with.
Although some may be uneasy about connecting their Facebook on such an accessible surface, those who are comfortable with keeping their drink in their hands will certainly make use of the ease these cups brings to the traditionally awkward connection inquiries.
