Brisac Gonzalez Designs a Colorful Parking Garage Featuring Rooftop Houses

Brisac Gonzalez, a London-based architecture firm founded by Cecile Brisac and Edgar Gonzalez, has created a parking structure for Bordeaux, France, designed to be used after hours. The parking lot is only one part of the structure. The bottom floor will be used as a retail space while the top floor will have houses ranging from one to three bedrooms.

Living atop a parking structure might sound odd, but Brisac Gonzalez's concept drawings actually make it look quite appealing. The 19 rooftop apartments will be surrounded by plants and will be built using lightweight wood to ensure structural integrity, and the parking lot itself will be painted with vibrant colors. If all goes according to plan, Brisac Gonzalez's multipurpose parking lot should be fully built some time in 2016.
