Wave-Like Roof Designs

This Brick Roof Hangs Over the Bulding to Work as a Plaza and a Staircase

This unique building in Iran has a curved brick roof that allows people to walk up its different storeys from the outside.

The brick roof looks to drape over the first floor of the building like a blanket, allowing it to separate its different spaces wonderfully. On the first floor is a retail space, whereas the second is an office space. The roof of the Termeh building gives it a functional gradual staircase that is made by hardly noticeable raises which work as wide steps. The interior of the bottom floor shows this design as well, making the white ceiling look like a whimsical sea shell. The brick roof was made to function as a public plaza rather than a staircase, making the building versatile as well as eye-catching.
