Political Tattoo Parlors

This Pop-Up Parlor Helps People Share Their Stance on Brexit in the UK

Ahead of the EU Referendum, Saatchi London launched a pop-up tattoo parlor in order to encourage the public to think about the permanence of their vote on Brexit in the UK.

Getting inked at 'Brexit Tattoos' is free and this is supported by a shop motto that reminds: "It’s your choice but it’s permanent." As well as this being a phrase that's the focal point of many of the tattoos offered at this pop-up, other dynamic designs include words and messages like "Forever," "Bye Bye Britain" and "The Future is Unclear," which are depicted alongside evil-looking political characters and imagery. Whether or not anyone actually decides to get tattooed at Brexit Tattoos, it succeeds as an awareness-raising stunt.

This is one of many Brexit campaigns that uses an unconventional means to garner youth support of continuing British membership in the EU.
