The 'Breaking Point' Collection Explores the Mind-Body Connection

James Bullough's 'Breaking Point' collection features disjointed characters as part of his exploration of the mind-body connection through art.

The American artist worked with dancers from Berlin to capture their movement and then render the distortion of their figures. The figures in the collection look as if their reflections are being captured through broken glass. Bullough featured "distorted, yet thoroughly complete images, as he explores the human psyche..." There is an incredible amount of energy and detail in every one of the paintings in the collection. The wood that the collection is painted on is reclaimed wood flooring from a Berlin dance studio. Each of the paintings examines the personal breakdowns and moments of overwhelming emotion from each of the dancers.
