Belotto Scopel Tanaka Juxtapose Material in the Design of This Space

This Brazilian apartment is designed by architectural studio Belotto Scopel Tanaka to create a standout contrast between materials and colorings. Located in Curitiba, the space incorporates dark wooden motifs, a selection of grey furnishings and an eye-catching marble kitchen wall and counter top.

The Brazilian apartment is situated in what the architects describe as "the city's trendiest neighborhood." The interior is decidedly contemporary, mixing elegance with functionality. Belotto Scopel Tanaka was sure to pay close attention to the distribution of the pieces and the development of the layout. Along with some spatial extensions, the firm transformed a former patio to a dining room, enclosed by glass. As the Brazilian apartment will be used for family getaways, the structural design is heavily reliant on creating direct communication between the interior and scenic views.
