Brash Collective Explore Mindfulness and Self-awareness with This Piece

Brash Collective is a design group that was co-founded by architectural designer Majeda Alhinai and William Virgil, SCI-Arc design faculty member. A new installation at the SCI-Arc Gallery showcases the latest concept exploration by Brash Collective. The installation is called Intentionally Opaque and it is described as "a brain-like labyrinth" because of its color and texture. The piece is made with CNC milling. The walls of the brain-like labyrinth consist of puzzle pieces because Brash Collective "wanted to take an unusual approach to the building brick [CNC milling], one that would require no bonding material."

The Intentionally Opaque installation is essentially an exploration of ideas of mindfulness and self-awareness, which are popular topics in today's day and age. Guests of the SCI-Arc Gallery can take their time and walk through the installation.
