Illusory Collar Designs

Boudicca Shaped This Neckline to Look Like a Face in Profile

At a first glance, this gorgeous Boudicca garment might just seem like it has a jagged, asymmetrical collar. Upon closer inspection, you'll see that the unusual collar is made to look like the profile of a face.

The design duo behind Boudicca, Zowie Broach and Brian Kirby describe their collection to HUSK magazine in a number of words, including classic, easy and "confidently nothing." The interview is accompanied with an artful video by Ekaterina Bazhenova, which shows the model wearing this illusory garment while being sprayed with blue paint.

Although it is definitely a little unconventional, the shape of the face has been abstracted just enough so that it isn't glaringly obvious, but still enough to cause people to take a second look.
