Upcycled Animal Art Installations

Bordalo Il's 'Weasel' is a 3D Sculpture Made From Scrap Metal

Bordalo Il debuted his 'Weasel' at the MS Artville festival in Hamburg, Germany.

The 3D street sculpture of a weasel is entirely made of trash and metal scrap found in the area. Bordalo Il repainted the scrap metal so the colors would fit that of an actual Weasel. The Portuguese artist is known for his 3D animal sculptures made from upcycled materials found near his installation sites. In the close-up photos it's possible to see the various materials that Bordalo Il included in his sculpture, such as a bicycle wheel and part of a fence.

Bordalo Il creates animals out of the materials that are harmful to them, like burnt garbage cans, tires and damaged car parts. Instead of letting the items go to waste, Bordalo Il upcycles them into stunning works of art.
