'Nécessaire' is the name of a new brand from Into the Gloss co-founder Nick Axelrod and Estée Lauder veteran Randi Christiansen that was intentionally made to offer clean body care products, which are often treated as an afterthought.

Nécessaire's luxurious, minimalist products set themselves apart as "active, clean, and pH-optimized beauty products for everyone" and take the form of The Body Lotion, The Body Wash and The Sex Gel. The thoughtfully formulated body care products in this do-it-all trio can be purchased together as part of a starter kit or separately as needed.

While the clean body care products eschew the use of sulfates, parabens, phthalates and synthetic dyes, the formulas are packed with naturally derived ingredients, nourishing oils and vitamins. All of the products are available in fragrance-free versions, although The Body Wash is offered in aromatic sandalwood or eucalyptus varieties.
