The Boat Hotel from David Kohn Architects and artist Fiona Banner has beat out over 500 entries to win the coveted 'A Room for London' contest. A Room for London was looking for an original, two-person hotel to be placed atop the Queen Elizabeth Hall roof in downtown London during the 2012 Olympics.
The Boat Hotel will offer guests a once-in-a-lifetime experience, with the Thames River and downtown London visible through the panoramic windows on the bottom floor.
