The BMW i Vision Dee Offers a Glimpse of the Future at CES 2023

BMW i Vision Dee (Digital Emotional Experience) is a CES 2023 concept car that gives drivers the ability to customize their physical vehicle digitally. The mid-sized sedan makes the most of E Ink to offer an array of colors that can cover the entirety or a portion of the vehicle's surface, thanks to 240 individually controlled segments. BMW's first full-colour deployment of E Ink technology means that drivers can express their sense of style with not just colors but also patchwork or checkered patterns as well.

"With BMW i Vision Dee, we are showing how the car can be seamlessly integrated into your digital life and become a trusty companion," said Adrian van Hooydonk, head of BMW Group Design, in a press release, "The vehicle itself becomes your portal to the digital world – with the driver always in control."

Features from this concept car are expected to make their way into future production models, specifically BMW's new NEUE KLASSE EV platform as of 2025.
