Augmented Reality Binoculars

The Bloody Haze Installation Provides a Unique View of Hong Kong

Imagine sightseeing in Hong Kong and coming across this ginormous pair of binoculars that makes up the Bloody Haze installation by Hong Kong architects MAP Office.

Created as part of the Shenzhen and Hong Kong bi-city Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture, the Bloody Haze installation consists of two pairs of normal-sized binoculars housed inside two cylindrical frames that resemble one gigantic binocular. One of the small binoculars inside the frame is turned the wrong way around so as a visitor, you can peer through each binocular to see the city close, then far—kind of like an augmented reality experience!
