Tokyo-based ARTechnic Architects have designed this unique residence that features giant black angular walls that seem to almost engulf the interior home.
Almost resembling some sort of windowless bunker in appearance, the 'SRK' house is wrapped in a spiral enclosure made of chunky concrete covered in an insulating polystyrene board and finished off with black plasterwork. The black angular facade extends outward to protect a glass-walled upstairs living area underneath a steel roof. A gap between the exterior facade and the top roof also allows for a small area to relax outdoors.
The inside of this 1895-square-foot home also features a steel staircase, dark wood floors, polished stone, glass panels and a series of mirrors that both open the space and help to reflect natural light throughout the ground level.
