Maniacal Character Graffiti

Mr. Thoms Paints Incredibly Bizarre Street Art

The highly talented Rome-based artist Mr. Toms paints very bizarre street art. He illustrates several maniacal characters with overemphasized features. The artist does everything from writing, painting and sculpting to film-making, graphic designing and illustrating.

One of his greatest talents is his ability to incorporate elements of the natural surrounding to each of his paintings—making the backdrop a natural environment to sprout his characters from. What used to be an abandoned wall with a hole for drainage is now a demented, enlarged drooling man’s face. In another image, he uses the jutting corners of a wall to add dimension to a giant pill-loving character whose brain is on fire. What used to be an average subway tunnel is now a giant hungry face that’s ready to devour the city’s trash.

The images are disturbingly maniacal and full of so much detail they almost come to life. Mr. Toms’ work uses graffiti art to broaden our imaginations.
