The Biosense ToucHb is a platform technology that allows for a blood test with no drawing of blood, that is, no prick and no bleeding. Biosense is the company behind the project and one of its co-founders, Myshkin Ingawale, spoke at TED in February of 2012 on the project while emphasizing its low cost an portability. The innovation took 32 tries to perfect.
Biosense is supported and partnered with a number of social entrepreneurship associations that many of those in the sphere will be aware of including Echoing Green, the Unreasonable Institute and the Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE). The organization is currently based in India and includes a management team of four, with the other founders being Abhishek Sen, Yogesh Patil and Aman Midha.
