The Conceptual Bionic Positioning Fish Tracks Illegal Fishing Boats

The conceptual Bionic Positioning Fish is an advanced piece of equipment that would work to reduce the occurrence of illegal fishing activities and help aquatic populations of fish to remain uninterrupted. The fish-like robot would work by being deployed into the water and would go to work blending into schools of fish to discreetly detect when they are being fished. This could aid authorities when policing areas where fishing is illegal to prevent fishing boats from still heading out to catch.

The conceptual Bionic Positioning Fish is the design work of Xu Bin, Bai Minghe, Han Chunyan, He Jiji, Jiang Siyuan, Qiao Song, Su Hang, Sun Shiyu and Prof. Xu Kun, and was created in partnership with Tangshan Shangjiu Industrial Design Center (Tangshan Kun Kiln Ceramic Co., Ltd.).
