Beneo Launches a Barley Flour with Beta-Glucans at IFT FIRST

Beneo introduces 'Orafti ß-Fit,' a whole grain barley flour formulated with 20% beta-glucans, as a part of its new product unveiling at IFT FIRST, the Institute of Food Technologist's annual expo. The new product spotlights beta-glucans, which are vicious and soluble dietary fibers that thicken food and help it travel more slowly through the large and small intestines.

'Orafti ß-Fit' can be used in a variety of food applications, including baked foods, pasta, cereal, and meal replacements. The product also increases viscosity in dairy applications, helping to thicken and smooth liquid components. Beneo will be showcasing the new ingredient by using it to make waffle batter at IFT FIRST.
